Founded in 1893, the Department of English Studies at the University of Graz has a long tradition of academic excellence. Our research and teaching cover the entire spectrum of the study of English, from the earliest medieval works to contemporary literature, modern and historical linguistics, and the didactics of English language and literature teaching.
